Scholarship Application
The application round will be open from Feb 1 until March 9, 2025.

How to Apply
The working grant is 4250 euros per month. In addition to this, 5000 euros will be paid for travel expenses and 3000 euros per month for living costs. The Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., will help with the accommodation arrangements.
The scholarships are tax-exempt up to the amount equivalent to the Finnish state grants for artists (€ 26 269,46 in 2024).
The applications must be written in English.
Application and attachments
The application must include a free-form statement of why the candidate is applying for a scholarship at the Wilson Center. The statement should also include a short research or action plan indicating which Wilson Center program/institute the proposed research is associated with. The statement’s maximum length is 3000 characters (including spaces).
The applicant’s CV must include at least the applicant’s name, year of birth, education, degrees/qualifications, career description and the candidate’s most important achievements and publications. The CV must not exceed two pages in length.
Data protection
The application data forms a personal data file in accordance with the Personal Data Act, and this file is maintained, stored and archived by the Finnish Foundations’ Application Pool for the Finnish Scholarship Program at the Wilson Center. You have the right to check your own data entered into the file, either through a written, signed request or by a personal visit, and to correct inaccurate data. Data is given to the foundations belonging to the Pool, and to the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars for reviewing and processing of the applications.
